Data Facts, Inc Announces CEO Induction into the Society of Entrepreneurs

Daphne Large, CEO of Data Facts, Inc. will be inducted into the Society of Entrepreneurs in Memphis TN. Some of the esteemed members calling Memphis their home include Fred Smith (FedEx), Pitt Hyde (Auto Zone), Debbi Fields (Mrs. Fields Cookies) along with the late Kemmons Wilson (Holiday Inns), Abe Plough (Schering-Plough Corp) and Clarence Saunders (Piggly Wiggly Co.).

Large - who founded Data Facts, Inc. and has served as CEO since 1989 - was invited to join the SOE Insights Group in 2010 and also became active in their Round Table meetings.

Daphne is a national leader in the consumer reporting industry, having served as the 2013 President of the National Consumer Reporting Association (NCRA) and on the Board for 6 years as Vice President, Treasurer and Director. In 2013, she was named CEO of the Year by MBQ Magazine, Data Facts was named a top women-owned business in Memphis and named a Top Workplace by Memphis Business Journal, winning the Communications Award. In 2011 Data Facts was named a Top 5 finalist in the MBJ Small business Awards. Data Facts is also a founding member of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners and is one of only 2% of background screeners nationally to have achieved the rigorous NAPBS accreditation designation.
Daphne is a native Memphian and actively engaged in supporting the community. She serves as an Officer/Director on the St. George's Board of Trustees, as a Director on the Make A Wish-Mid South Board of Directors, and as a Director on the Germantown Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Daphne comments, “to whom much has been given, much is expected. My team and I are committed to having a positive impact every where we can.”
Daphne is passionate about Memphis and is a 2013 graduate of the New Memphis Institute's Leadership Development Intensive and a 2007 graduate of Leadership Germantown. She is married to Alan Large and they have two children, Trevor (20) and Heather (13).
The Society of Entrepreneurs was formed in 1991 to recognize the historical importance of the contributions of individuals who have demonstrated a gift of entrepreneurship and used this gift to not only create or build a successful business, but have also used their gift in service to the community.
Members are chosen annually by their peers and must be mature (not emerging) entrepreneurs who have been judged to have exhibited the following personal characteristics and successes: personal business achievement, self direction, leadership, personal integrity, determination, creativity and the ability to transform a vision into a dynamic business achievement. The final inductees are decided on by the Nominations Committee and the Board of Directors.
Daphne Large joins 3 other new members who will be officially inducted into The Society of Entrepreneurs at the 22nd Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet, to be held at the Holiday Inn at the University of Memphis on Saturday, April 12, 2014.
